Trivia
- Asha acted in these unreleased films: "Sweetheart" (1970) and "jaan e jaana" both with Shashi Kapoor; and "Chor Mandali" (1982) with Raj Kapoor.
- She has claimed to have turned down four hit films that Sharmila Tagore later accepted: Kashmir Ki Kali (1964), An Evening in Paris (1967), Aradhana (1969), Chhoti Bahu (1971).
- She turned down two hit films that later went to Hema Malini: Sharafat (1970) and Seeta Aur Geeta(1971) (Malini won the Filmfare Best Actress Award).
- She also turned down the hit film Yaadon Ki Baarat (1973) by her longtime director and mentor Nasir Hussain. The role went to Zeenat Aman.
- She has proved to a lucky star for many of her co-stars - Dharmendra, Manoj Kumar, Joy Mukherjee,Biswajit, Shashi Kapoor and Jeetendra. With each of these stars, she has delivered superhits during the 60s and early 70s.
